Bank of Canada Names Two New Deputy Governors

The Bank of Canada has announced the appointment of two new deputy governors following the departure of outgoing members from its governing council.

Marc-André Gosselin, currently head of the bank’s Canadian Economic Analysis Department, will officially take on the deputy governor role on May 25.

In a separate appointment, external deputy governor Nicolas Vincent will become a full-time member of the Governing Council starting August 3.

The central bank said the changes are part of its ongoing leadership transition as it continues to oversee monetary policy and support economic stability in Canada.
