Manchester City Crush Chelsea to Reignite Premier League Title Race

Manchester City boosted their Premier League title hopes with a strong second-half performance to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and close the gap on leaders Arsenal.

City went into the match knowing Arsenal had suffered a surprise home defeat, and they took full advantage by cutting the lead to six points with a game in hand.

The first half was evenly balanced, with both teams creating chances but failing to score. Chelsea defended well early on, while City looked slightly wasteful in front of goal.

However, everything changed after the break. City increased their intensity and took control of the match.

The opening goal came when Rayan Cherki delivered a dangerous cross that was headed in powerfully by Nico O’Reilly. That goal gave City confidence, and they quickly added a second. Cherki once again created the chance, this time setting up Marc Guehi, who finished calmly into the corner.

Chelsea’s mistakes continued to cost them. Midfielder Moisés Caicedo was caught in possession deep in his own half, allowing Jeremy Doku to run through and score the third goal, sealing a comfortable win for City.

Chelsea had a few moments of hope in the first half, including a disallowed goal and a saved effort from Pedro Neto, but they could not match City’s second-half quality.

The defeat continues Chelsea’s poor run of form, with several losses in recent matches leaving them outside the top positions and struggling to find consistency.

For Manchester City, the win sends a strong message to Arsenal. With the title race tightening, City now prepare for a crucial upcoming clash against the league leaders, which could play a major role in deciding the championship.
