At least six Palestinians, including two children, have been killed in separate Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip, according to local health officials.
The incidents happened on Tuesday despite an ongoing ceasefire agreement brokered by the United States.
In Gaza City, four people were killed when a police vehicle was struck. The Hamas-run Interior Ministry said a police officer and a young child were among the dead. Nine other people were injured, some of them critically.
In northern Gaza near Jabalia, a three-year-old boy, Yahya Al-Malahi, was also killed, according to health officials and family members.
Israel’s military has not yet commented on the incidents.
In a separate statement, the Israeli military said it killed a man in northern Gaza who allegedly approached the armistice line and described him as an armed militant. Palestinian officials confirmed a death in the area but gave no further details.
The ceasefire, which began in October, was meant to stop major fighting after two years of war. However, both sides continue to accuse each other of breaking the agreement.
Since the truce started, hundreds of Palestinians and several Israeli soldiers have been killed in continued violence, according to reports from both sides.
Tensions remain high as the situation in Gaza continues to worsen.
